The FA Cup could see Manchester’s biggest clubs do battle in May’s final after the two rivals were kept apart in the semi-final draw.

Brighton were drawn against the winner of Manchester United and Fulham in the first semi final.

The route to the final at Wembley is now set with some big matches along the wayGetty

Meanwhile Manchester City will host the only Championship side remaining in the competition, Sheffield United, in the second clash.

Both fixtures will take place on the weekend of Saturday, April 22 and Sunday, April 23 and will be played at Wembley Stadium.

City secured their place in the last four following an emphatic 6-0 victory over Burnley on Saturday evening.

That win over club legend Vincent Kompany’s side means that their hopes of securing a quadruple are still very much alive.

United will be hoping to secure their spot as they host Fulham in the final clash of the quarter-finals on Sunday afternoon.

Elsewhere, Brighton earned their place in the final four with a 5-0 victory over League Two Grimsby Town.

Meanwhile Sheffield United took the other spot in the semi-finals with a 3-2 over Blackburn in what was a pulsating clash at Bramall Lane.
