Liverpool Manager Jurgen Klopp and Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola will battle it out once again with both having been nominated for the Premier League Manager of the Season award.

City and Liverpool are locked in a two-horse title fight with Guardiola’s side currently three points ahead of the Reds with two games left to play.

Last year’s winner Guardiola is aiming to pick up his fourth award in five seasons as City seek four more points that would guarantee them the Premier League title.

Klopp has guided Liverpool to the cusp of the title after a fantastic second-half of the season.

The Reds have lost the fewest number of games this season (2) and have amassed no fewer than 89 goals.

Other nominees for the award include Newcastle United’s Eddie Howe, who only took the reins at St James’ Park in November following the club’s Saudi-led takeover.

Howe has steered the Magpies away from the brink of relegation to a comfortable 14th place with a top-half finish within their grasp.

Newcastle had registered just five points when Howe took charge with the club now on 43 points after a staggering turnaround.

They will become the first-ever Premier League club to beat the drop after recording no wins in their first 14 matches.

Thomas Frank’s side have enjoyed a solid first Premier League season

Brentford Manager Thomas Frank is also in the frame for the award after a fantastic first season in the Premier League.

Frank has comfortably secured top-flight status for the Bees and could still finish in the top half of the table if they win their final two games.

Patrick Vieira has also been nominated after a solid first season in charge of Crystal Palace – which included an FA Cup semi-final appearance.

Notable names such as Mikel Arteta and David Moyes have been overlooked for the award despite excellent campaigns with Arsenal and West Ham respectively.

Fans have until 6pm on Monday 16th May to vote for the Manager of the Season, with public votes and those of an expert panel, deciding this years winner.
